Antique GENUINE VICTORIAN velveteen cape/capelet, c. late 1890s to 1900. In black faux fur velveteen, this is GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC and guaranteed gorgeous....An estate find, the velvet on this is thick and furry like it used to be and cape closes with thick, heavy original velveteen button at neck. Fully lined, this is unbelievably durable. Velvet black color has turned to a greenish black over time, which I personally think looks AWESOME....An estate auction find, this was found with an AUTHENTIC BATTENBURG LACE COLLAR pinned to it - can be worn with or without. Collar also dates to Victorian/Edwardian era....EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION with only minor wear commensurate with age. Cape is 15" x 68" around and 1 Size Fits Most. Collar is 34" long....DO NOT MISS - WILL NOT SEE 1 LIKE THIS AGAIN ANYTIME SOON.
