Inspired by the practical shirts worn across New England’s backwoods and workyards, the Walden is Warren's take on a true cold weather staple. Its roots reach back to the rugged chamois shirts that have long defined outdoor life in Maine, and the diagonal slant stitching across the pocket is a quiet nod to that lineage. And whether you pronounce it sham-wah or shammy, the idea’s the same: warm, tough, dependable.

The fabric starts with organic cotton grown and spun in the American South, then woven into a dense 7.5oz twill at American Woolen. It’s then brushed for a soft, lofty feel and garment-dyed in Somersworth, New Hampshire, giving each shirt a head start on the break-in.

Soft in hand but rugged in spirit, the Walden is made to handle whatever you put it through, and to look even better for it.

• Slanted double needle stitchwork across the pockets - a tip of the cap to the original chamois shirts from L.L. Bean. 
• Hidden button-down collar.
• Internal locker loop below the collar.
• Double-needle stitching throughout.
• Corozo buttons.
• Standard Fit. True to size. Some shrinkage will occur with the first wash given the natural cotton fabric.
• Custom developed, 7.5 oz brushed twill, made with US-grown, 100% organic cotton.
• Wear often, wash less often.
• Wash separately for the first couple of washes to allow the dye to fully set.
• Machine wash cold with like colors, tumble dry low. Hang dry to maximize longevity.
