BTS was a California company known for producing die struck solid brass items. The initials stood for "Basic Tool & Supply". Their quality and workmanship was superb. Arguably BTS was the industry leader in their particular field. All their items was manufactured in the US and were quite costly. Unfortunately the market could not sustain their price points and after going through several hands, the BTS from the 1980's & 1990's was no more.

This visor features the custom die struck brass medallion which is "dapped", meaning slightly curved - in this case to fit the contour of the visor. Although probably over 20 years old, it is in remarkable condition, despite the rust of the hardware on the back.
