This book explains all aspects of bodice, basque, and panty sizing and construction, calculating ruffle lengths and layer widths, ruffling, hooping, plates, peplums, and overlays, and much more. Two methods of attaching ruffled layers are discussed: working from the top layer down (easiest method), or from the bottom layer up (more difficult, with alternating layer placement).
