Vintage 1940s colorblock maxi dress in a classic silhouette.  Maxi length with graduated hemline at the front to accentuate the colorblock panels that appear to flow down from the waist line.  Lightly padded shoulders.  A stunning piece that drapes on the figure.

Condition

Fair to good, with several flaws to note.  There is some faint staining throughout.  The most visible (darkest) of the stains are very tiny and can be found on the colorblock panels at the front, at the skirt hem and on the side of the skirt (see images).

The remaining stains are more faint, mostly water stains and light colorbleed.  These are at the side, surrounding the waistband and at the base of the coral colorblock panel.  There is also water marks under the armpits (see images).

Lastly, there are a few pinpoint holes, notably near the bust, and two patched ones within the skirt.  The shoulders also show some color fade.

Overall the dress presents very well, and although the flaws are visible they are not very noticeable.
