 What is a 100% natural lavender hydrosol?

The water that passed through the lavender flower during the extraction of the essential oil of lavender from Haute Provence AOP*, by steam distillation**, is loaded with beneficial molecules of this flower.

*the quality of the hydrosol and its benefits will depend on the variety of lavender distilled. Only fine population lavender (lavandula officinalis chaix) is mentioned in the European Pharmacopoeia.

**this principle is commonly referred to as distillation or steam extraction. 

Its uses:

The hydrosol is widely used to soothe the skin, purify it and repair it. We can consider that it is essential oil in homeopathic doses, therefore perfectly tolerated by the most sensitive skin. Its use is widespread for young skin with an oily tendency, it calms and acts on imperfections. This water is naturally scented by its active ingredients, one can be surprised by its very green scent, which does not develop the floral and aromatic note of the essential oil of lavender from Haute Provence AOP, it is not a perfuming water. It is above all a real care for the skin.

How to appy it: to place on a piece of cotton, and to dab on the area to be treated without rubbing. The skin gently absorbs the active ingredients.

Usage tips
Use a cottonwool to apply on the face and neck, eyes closed, mornings and/or evenings.The hydrolat can also be applied to the body in a case of a rash or an itch.
